Scranton sheets will
be used for scoring the Foods Activity. While Scantron may be a
little more difficult for participants to use than the score sheet
that we used to use (pre-2005), the benefits were found to outweigh
the problems. During pilot testing participants were able to score
and check their foods sheets with ease and scoring errors were greatly
reduced. Note: this sheet is particularly difficult to score because
there are 350 possible answers and youth loose points for both marking
an answer that should not be marked and not marking an answer that
should be marked.
You can get a copy of the old Indiana scorecard (pre-2005) by
clicking on: score
card. (You may find it useful for training
purposes.)
Scantron reminders:
When you fill in an answer, be sure to cover the letter so it
can no longer be read.
When you erase to change an answer, be sure to uncover the letter
so it can be read by the machine.
