• Arbor Day, April 25, 2008. Indiana celebrates Arbor Day
the last Friday in April. This is a nationally celebrated observance
that encourages tree planting and care. If you want to celebrate
Arbor Day, you may want to get the publication, YSS-2, Benefits
of Trees from Purdue’s
Media Distribution. It is a compilation of existing Purdue materials,
packaged to give teachers and educators a teaching unit about the
value of trees and how to plant a tree. There are also materials
available at the National Arbor Day website.

• Great Lakes &
Fisheries Education. The purpose of this site is to facilitate
teaching about the Great Lakes and its fisheries. The Teacher’s
