Natural Resource Career Development Events (CDEs)

Entomology

CDE rules and guidelines are given in the 4-H/FFA Judging Handbook (see left hand column). Teams must qualify at an Area Entomology CDE to attend the State Entomology CDE. Contact your County Youth Extension Educator for information about the Area CDE. The state Entomology CDE will be held December 8, 2007 at Purdue University (Stewart Center).

Forestry

CDE rules and guidelines are given in the 4-H/FFA Judging Handbook (see left hand column).Teams must qualify at an Area Forestry CDE to attend the State Entomology CDE. Contact your County Youth Extension Educator for information about the Area CDE. The state Forestry CDE will be held December 8, 2007 at Purdue University (Stewart Center).

Wildlife Habitat Evaluation

CDE rules and guidelines are given in the 4-H/FFA Judging Handbook (see left hand column).. The Wildlife Habitat Evaluation Program (WHEP) CDE is an invitational event so no qualifying rounds are required. Preregistration is required, however. Registration forms may be obtained from your County Youth Extension Educator (contact info) and must be by March 28, 2008. (Registration fees are not refundable. Make checks payable to: Purdue University.)
