Research
in biotechnology rapidly advances our understanding
of life sciences, but it also raises safety
and ethical questions.
Increasingly,
educators need to comprehend this complex subject
and its encompassing issues to effectively teach
it in the classroom. Toward this end, the Purdue
University School of Agriculture and the Cooperative
Extension Service have developed and introductory
course in biotechnology to be delivered via
distance education.
