The Bugle - Indiana OMK Newsletter
Being a kid can be tough. Being one of the 19,541 youth in Indiana with a parent in the military can be even tougher. Operation: Military Kids brings together community resources to support Indiana’s military youth as their loved ones deploy and return home from serving our country.
Whether it’s day camps, interactive workshops, Yellow Ribbon Events, and more, Indiana OMK connects military youth to build relationships and gain skills to navigate life as a military child. As a program of the Indiana 4-H Program, we are able to reach youth in every county of Indiana to provide opporutnities for military youth and families to connect and learn about resources in their community.
During the 2013 Fiscal Year, Indiana OMKsupported 66 different programs that served 1,104 military youth. We distributed 626 Hero Packs, To accomplish all of this, 348 volunteers gave 2,478 hours of service to Indiana OMK. You can download the entire corporate report here.
The Bugle is Indiana OMK's informational newsletter. It is published on a quarterly basis with special issues to announce new events.
