Collect wood samples from the following trees for the Forestry CDE. Some lumber yards are happy to provide scrap of differt types of woods.

American basswood (Tilia americana)
American beech (Fagus grandifolia)
American elm (Ulmus americana)
Black cherry (Prunus serotina)
Black walnut (Juglans nigra)
Northern red oak (Quercus rubra)
Shagbark hickory (Carya ovata)
Sycamore (Platanus occidentalis)
Sugar maple (Acer saccharum)
Tuliptree/Yellow-poplar (Liriodendron tulipifera)
White ash (Fraxinus americana)
White oak (Quercus alba)
