Mission and Goals

To reduce sexual violence.

Sexual assault is too often dismissed with terms like "just rough play" or "things getting a little out of hand." It’s a crime. And it’s defined as any sexual act by one person upon another without consent, or by using alcohol, drugs, force, fear, threat of injury, or kidnapping. (18 U.S. Code, 2241-2245).

Five Goals

  • To expose negative myths and attitudes contributing to sexual crimes.
  • To increase the use of age-appropriate in-school and out-of-school educational programs.
  • To strengthen support for participating school systems, youth groups, health care providers, and law enforcement agencies.
  • To significantly reduce incidents of sexual assault, acquaitance, and date rape in Indiana.
  • To achieve zero tolerance for sexual crimes in all Indiana communities.
