Mission and Goals

To reduce sexual violence.

Sexual assault is too often dismissed with terms like "just rough play" or "things getting a little out of hand." It’s a crime. And it’s defined as any sexual act by one person upon another without consent, or by using alcohol, drugs, force, fear, threat of injury, or kidnapping. (18 U.S. Code, 2241-2245).

Five Goals

To expose negative myths and attitudes contributing to sexual crimes.
To increase the use of age-appropriate in-school and out-of-school educational programs.
To strengthen support for participating school systems, youth groups, health care providers, and law enforcement agencies.
To significantly reduce incidents of sexual assault, acquaitance, and date rape in Indiana.
To achieve zero tolerance for sexual crimes in all Indiana communities.
