Rape and sexual assault affect young people's lives in very real ways. The media reports that 57% of rapes occur on a date, and that half of all sexual assault victims are ages 12 to 24. Every day young people are the victims of rape and sexual assault, and often their friends (not strangers) are the perpetrators.
CARe is leading the communities across the state to help reduce the incidence of sexual assault and rape to school-age children and youth in Indiana.We provide opportunities for young people to have a voice; to equip them with the resources and activities needed to raise awareness; and to help them move communities to action.
